Join us on Friday 26 Sep for our Macmillan Coffee Morning

Joanne Stanley

On Friday 26th September, we’ll be hosting a Macmillan coffee morning in our practice from 10am onwards.

This is in support of Macmillan’s national fundraising incentive – the annual ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ – and we’d love you to come and join us.

Macmillan Cancer Support provides assistance to individuals diagnosed with cancer, as well as their family, friends and carers. It funds the provision of healthcare professionals and medical services, but also specialises in offering emotional and practical support in whatever way it is needed; whether this means taking over the care of a cancer patient so that the regular carer can enjoy some time off, or simply accompanying someone to a hospital appointment, the help of Macmillan staff and nurses can be invaluable. Macmillan started its nationwide coffee morning event as a fundraising initiative in 1991, and since then has raised over £113 million in support of the charity.

Here at Scher & Lasky Opticians we’ll be hosting one of these coffee mornings, and providing you with tea, coffee and cake! All we ask is that anyone who attends makes a donation to Macmillan Cancer Support, which you can do with us on the day. We also have a fantastic raffle prize: a meal for two at Pizzeria Bel-Sit!

Our coffee morning was a great success last year, with patients, local residents and passers-by all able to pop in for a chat and even meet some new faces. For more information on the details of the coffee morning, just give us a call on 0208 504 9243 or email optician@scherandlasky.co.uk.

We hope to see you there!
Best wishes,
Ralph Lasky and the team.
