Eye Examination

Our detailed and thorough eye examinations help you see the world clearly

If you haven’t been to the Opticians in a while, or are booking an eye test for the first time, it can be a daunting experience. However, there’s nothing to worry about as our highly qualified Optometrists will give you the very best care.

When you book your eye examination, we’ll ask you some questions about your general health, as well as any family history of conditions like glaucoma or diabetes. It’s important you tell us any relevant information, so that we can include this in your patient health record. Please see our Top Tips for Attending your Eye Examination.

We recommend that all of our patients choose our Enhanced Eye Examination. Not only will you have all the standard tests carried out during an eye exam, but you will benefit from our state of the art technology with our OCT 3D digital retinal imaging machine. This allows our Optometrists to thoroughly assess your eye health and make sure nothing is overlooked. Regular visits means that potential conditions can be identified and treated more quickly.

Once your eye exam is complete there will be plenty of time for your Optometrist to explain any findings to you. You will also be given the opportunity to ask questions about anything you’re unsure of. Our Optometrists will make recommendations to you based on their findings, and will provide this information to our Dispensing Opticians, who will take over your care at this point.

Our knowledgeable and friendly team will be able to advise you on your options for your vision solutions. It’s important to consider your lifestyle and hobbies, such as sporting activities, computer use and driving so that your new spectacles will be appropriate for your day-to-day activities.

You can rest assured that no matter what your personal style, budget or requirements, you’ll find the perfect eyewear for you at Scher & Lasky Opticians.
